He graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Ghent in 1982. During his veterinary studies, he spent every weekend gaining experience at a veterinary practice to further his skills. This is where he learned the ropes. From a very early age, he developed an itch to start his own practice as an independent veterinarian; his ambition was strong. That same year, his dream came true, and he opened a practice at a previous location on Brugsesteenweg in Ghent, albeit in a modest house. The practice gradually grew into the thriving business it is today, and in 2001, it moved to the new building at its current address.

In his free time, he often spends time with his border collie, Bo, the three cats, and his beloved chickens. He also enjoys relaxing bike rides. Having his son, Tom, as his second veterinarian is a welcome bonus, allowing them to consult with each other to ensure the best possible care.

Graduated as a companion animal veterinarian from the University of Ghent in 2020.

His passion for animals was instilled in him from an early age, as you might expect with a father and mother who both have a deep affection for animals. He quickly developed a desire to take over from his father and continue the family business. Immediately after graduating, he joined his father's practice, and together they dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their patients. His gentle approach is his greatest asset. In his free time, you can often find him at the swimming pool and on the tennis court. He also shares his father's passion for cycling.
